A couple graphic designs

The first design is for a not yet established design studio (maybe some day).  The second design served as a team flag in a campus wide olympic event at my university.

Hand study

Here's a few pencil/charcoal/ink sketches from a hand study I completed.  In total, there were about 50 drawings.  (Click on the image for a larger version)

The Banana Snatcher

Here's a children's book style gorilla who's bonkers for bananas.  I really wanted to give the pastel look a try in Photoshop.

Enchantment

For this one I wanted to get into some realistic anatomy.  Both the final and my initial sketch are provided.  I allowed some of the pencil drawing and bold profile line work to show through on the final just because I like the look.

Pete the Pirate of Iguanamo Bay

This one began as a pencil sketch and was painted in around 4 to 6 hours in Photoshop (I don't really keep track very closely).  I first drew very small sketches to explore what type of pirate I would like to create.  I then drew a final rough sketch which I subsequently redrew as a final line drawing.  This line drawing was scanned and painted in.  Below is the final painting with conceptual sketches.

Caricatures

I drew these a while ago.  They're a mixture of Prismacolor, graphite, ink and water color.  They're actually all professors at my university
